PCOS question

Hey!

I have PCOS and insulin resistance. Unfortunately I gained weight because of the loss of a family member. Since then I gained 44 pounds, making me 200 pound and 5’8 . Right now I try to eat around 1400 cal + 10000 steps per day. Now I read multiple times that women with PCOS struggle to burn calories. Should I eat less so around 1200 per day ?
