Help choosing a 22lr as a gift

I’m looking to buy a 22lr as a gift for my boyfriend, but I have no idea what I’m doing. He likes the design of the Kriss Vector, but from what I have read, it’s overpriced and kind of a bit much for this caliber. He loves his CZ Scorpion so ideally I can find a 22 that he can SBR. I’ve seen Tippman Elite M4-22 and Sig 522 come up quite a bit. I know Ruger is popular, but he likes more modern designs vs traditional. Do you think either would be a good option? Or if there are any other recommendations, would love to hear them!
