Do you have the time for a family.

I know a lot of stupid questions get asked here, and I am sorry if this is one of them but I realized this a little while ago and it's been burning and I need an answer.

Do you as a dispatcher have the time/capacity to hold a relationship/have a family and still be involved? I am looking into getting a job as a dispatcher in a few months, but my girlfriend is concerned about me not having the time or ability to be involved in a family later down the line. I wouldn't be working at a 24 hr shift agency but I'm still concerned.
