TDC Troubles
Hi everyone, I’m abit confused at the moment with my current situation. In the process of a timing belt job, but I’m having trouble lining up the timing marks. I know of Clark’s procedure, with the OT line on the top of bell housing, and notch from bottom of bell housing near the starter, and the dowel method.
However when my cam gear is in the position shown in the photo, the next photo is what I see at the bottom of the bell housing..
This makes me think the OT mark is way off from where it’s supposed to be. (Although I don’t see the OT letters but I do see the line) But how can that be when my car was running perfectly fine before this?
When the timing marks are aligned on the cam gear, I don’t see anything at the bottom of the bell housing, same thing at the top of the bell housing near the reference sensors.
