Just finished a timing/balance shaft belt plus water pump replacement along with all the rollers and tensioners. I have slowly worked on it over the course of a year.

After the first start in 13 months, there is a distinct grinding/rubbing noise, and my brand new water pump is leaking even when it’s not running. I’m guessing the pulley was damaged during shipping. Any other theories? I wasn’t able to get a video unfortunately.
