New Sports
Hey there, 20 months post-op for ACL with a hamstring graft and meniscus repair. It took almost a year to get back to basketball and running, and after about 4 months, I started having pain behind my knee. I tested for two months since there was nothing on the MRI. Then, while re-introducing running, I tore my meniscus again in a different spot. Just had a meniscectomy and I still have pain behind the knee. I also found out I have a genetic predisposition to soft tissue injuries.
All that to say, I've given up on soccer and basketball and volleyball. My knee hasn't felt right for almost two years. But I miss sports. Do you have any recommendations for ones you enjoy that involve less cutting, jumping etc? I'm going to try swimming, I find biking indoors extremely boring and outdoors is not feasible where I live most the time. Weight training is not my favorite either. I'd love to get into something that requires coordination and skill.
TL;DR What's a good sport that doesn't risk my knees anymore? One that's still active and requires skill/coordination.
