A question from a confused girlfriend

My boyfriend is a casual AFL fan and I’m thinking of surprising him with General Admission tickets to a game in Melbourne over the weekend of the 9th and 10th of July. I’m thinking of either the Collingwood vs North Melbourne game at 1.45pm at the MCG or the St Kilda vs Fremantle game at 7.25pm at Marvel Stadium. My questions are thus:

1. Will this be any fun or a bit shit
2. Are these good games? Which would better? (He’s not a fan of any of the teams especially but I think he’d enjoy seeing any game live)
3. Should I invest in better tickets with assigned seating?
4. Is there a way to make this present better?
