7950x3D high idle temps

I have a prebuilt (was too lazy to build my own around the time I bought) and it worked very well for around a year

Lately, when playing marvel rivals, my computer just blinks off. I had a similar issue once with a pc I built on my own before snd checked temps:

I’m idling at 70 degrees Celsius at 1-3% cpu usage in task manager

Under load, I’m at 89-90 degrees Celsius which I think is the max for the 7950x3d. I suspect this is why my pc will just blink off sometimes when gaming.

My pc may need a cleanup but I have a hard time believing dust would be the only reason for these high temps. Is it time to remove the cooler and repaste/ensure proper contact is being made ?
