Anyone else a little disappointed with a Quiet Place Day One?
I don't think it was a bad film by any means. And the acting was top notch forsure!
But my intruige going into this film was based around seeing people who didn't know the rules face the chaos. I wanted to see as people panicked and realized they had to be quiet. You don't even need a scene where a character specifically realizes it because as human beings one of our fear/defensive responses is silence.
But instead we get 2 seconds of confusion before lupitas knocked out and all the characters are instructing her to be silent.
I feel Part 2 did a really good job with its day one aesthetic as an opening.
I also felt like the ending was a bit abrupt but those are my only real complaints.
It was a fine and fun film all together and worth the watch.
I just imagined more of a frantic disaster movie, as we've already had 2 films with heart warming characters who already knew the rules.
