zenbook or zephyrus for engineering student?

I’m currently a high school student who is going into mechanical engineering this fall. I’m looking to get a laptop that will last me for the entire duration of my degree. After looking around for a while I have pretty much narrowed my options down to the zenbook s 14 (ultra 7 series 2, 32gb ram) and the zephyrus g14 (9 8945HS, 32gb ram, 4060). Both of them are currently the same price of $2000 Cad.

Which one would be a better choice for me? The zenbook really interests me due to the extra portability + almost double battery life. However i’m not sure if the zephyrus is worth it for the dedicated gpu, and better speakers. I’ll mostly be using the laptop for web browsing, Netflix, Matlabs, Vscode, Solidworks, and lighter gaming (minecraft, overwatch, valorant. I won’t be gaming often though)
