Are there no magatamas in SoJ ?

So I'm playing SoJ for the first time and just reached investigation 1 case 3 and I noticed Phoenix doesn't has his magatama in his inventory

Did they ditched the magatama in SoJ or am I too impatient and I'm going to see Maya give it to me in 5 minutes top ?
