Idk how to feel about the ending

Title :( Ok, I’m ngl. My reading of the manga has been fragmented. I kept piling up on updates before reading again and those gaps would often be as long a month to sometimes a year or more until the series ended. Idk if it was my expectations that were too high, my unfamiliarity with TJ’s writing style, or Idk enough about the sport/sports in general to really appreciate it?

I hoped the series would end w/ Sawamura as ace in his best condition and with a big redemption but it never came. Or, should I say it never came the way I hoped it would? I feel like I’m just not seeing things the way TJ wants me to. Idk you tell me lol

So, my question is: What did you like about the ending?? Why did you feel that it was satisfying or the perfect end of sorts? Geek out in the comments!! Would love to have my mind opened for this. It kinda sucks to just feel disappointed after waiting for the ending for years, but hearing from others would help. Also, if you have any fic reccs to mend a broken heart over the ending like rewrites or aus, a little mention would be appreciated. But not required ofc. :D

(PS: Plz don’t start a fight about Sawamura vs Furuya under here. I’m Team Sawamura, but my issue is with the writing for the ending & Mura’s overall arc! Leave Furuya alone 🙏🏼)
