Stuck between a Martin D-10E and a Guild D-140
Been having trouble finding my next guitar. I’ve finally narrowed it down to either a Guild D-140 and a Martin D-10E. Both are used, both are around the same price, with the Martin being just a little more expensive. Unfortunately I’m ordering, so I won’t be able to play either beforehand.
The Guild is Spruce top over Mahogany. The Martin is Spruce over Sapele.
Anyone of experience with either of these?
I do prefer a short scale. The Guild is 25.5 and the Martin is 25.4. Would I be able to tell any difference in this when it comes to reaching for chords?
I want something comfortable to play. I want it to sound warm, with some highs, but not too bright.
I mostly play chill indie-folk and alternative type of stuff, if that helps. What do yall think I should do?
