Adrenal crisis experiences.

Have you had a Adrenal or Addisonion crisis?

Here's mine. I was fine all weekend, then suddenly out of nowhere, the worst vomiting and diarrhoea you can ever imagine. If it wasn't coming out one end, it was coming out the other, sometimes both at the same time. I never knew just how much liquid could come out of a single person. I couldn't even keep water down, and had chills. I called 111 and they sent paramedics out. Despite knowing about my Addison's and DM1, they just said drink and rest.

4 hours later I was in Resus after being rushed to hospital. My BP was 32/28 and I was barely conscious. My heart rate was 148, I was so dehydrated, it took 4 nurses and a doctor just to find a vein, my blood was like gravy by this point. My liver was In stage 3 failure, I had sepsis, hypotension, hypoglycemia, acute dehydration and gastroenteritis all causes by a sudden unexpected Addisonion crisis even though I was up to date on my steroids.

Spent a week in the ICU being pumped full of fluids, blood cleaning and steroid injections.
