Hiking Guides

Wife and I are relatively new to hiking, at least starting to pick it back up again now that our child in college. Would appreciate any recommendations for books and/or guides to the Adirondak 46. Thinking that should be a bucket list item for us. Obviously would like to work our way through the easiest to harder hikes till we are conditioned. I know some people will recommend the Alltrails app, but I am a book guy, and prefer to have the paper backup. If you have an Amazon link handy that would be great, but I am a big boy and can look it up myself if you have a book/guide title. Thank you in advance.
