Help needed
I just closed on my first home on Friday. The house had an entire re-wire due to old aluminum wiring. With this, the seller also re-dry walled and painted.
During my visits at the home, the ac was working fine. The unit is also from 2023.
Upon taking ownership, the ac unit is not pushing cold air. I checked the furnace and the pad filter was TOTALLY clogged with dry wall dust.
I immediately swapped the filter but noticed low air velocity at the vents….I then opened and checked the A-Frame evaporator coils to check for plugging. There didn’t appear to he any dust on the evaporator.
Then figuring it was a bad capacitor, I got a replacement unit in….long story short. Still no cold air.
Any ideas as to where to investigate next?
