Failed first PT test..

I had my first operational PT test last week and I failed it. And it wasn’t a miserable fail. I did the alternatives for all the components because it’s less repetitions I have to do within 2 min. Like for the hand release push-ups, I only need to do 31 to max out, whereas the regular push ups I need 47 to max out. So, I maxed out the hand release push-ups and cross leg reverse crunch. And thats 40 points already. Easy. I’m also stationed in a state where it gets super cold in the winter, and it’s sub 30 degrees in the mornings with windchills, so the 1.5 mile run was out of the question. Which meant I had to do the HAMR. First of all, I’m not a good runner, never was, but I am working on it. For the HAMR, I needed to do at least 19 shuttles to get the minimum 35 points. But for some reason I was only able to do 16 at that moment. 16?!?! Ngl I thought I could do 33, which if I did, would’ve gotten me a score of 90. Kind of overestimated myself but I would’ve been content with a 75 too. Lowkey embarrassed now to walk around the squadron. I’m retaking it in March so fingers crossed🤞🏼
