Alibaba check seller

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy drone from Alibaba.com but scare to get scammed, how works payment system, does Alibaba hold it till I get the drone? Also they offered me to change address to Chinese so I don’t have to pay state tax, not sure if it some type of trap
