iTorrent: Subscription or one-time-payment?

I saw all of the currently available apps operate on a subscription model, but iTorrent says it is a subscription to a Patreon that gives you access to the app... which made me wonder... if I get the subscription (2$) for one month then cancel it, do I get to use the app after that one month? Or will it stop working?

(I do understand the price and is fair... just not worth for me.)
