How to confirm to my phone it's actually me after many attempts by someone else to unlock it

So I was at the skatepark and set my phone down in what I thought was a pretty decently well hidden place in the grass, mostly blocked by a ramp. There were some girls who seemed nice but were somewhat distracting, and at some point I fell, and when I looked at them they were holding a phone up and looked like they were recording. Not sure if they were using my phone or theirs, but when I later checked my phone it said something like "14 attempts to unlock your phone. You have 6 more attempts until all data, files, and downloaded apps are deleted. You can try again in 2 minutes." I waited and then used my fingerprint to unlock the phone and thought that it would realize it's me since I unlocked it, but when i checked it again it said, "15 attempts used. 4 more until data is deleted etc." The timer is up by now but I don't want to use any more attempts just in case. I don't necessarily want to tell my parents bc they will obviously be upset, but i've learned my lesson to never ever leave your phone somewhere. When I unlocked my phone the first time i didn't see anywhere to confirm it was me, and I'm not sure what to do now. Is there some place in settings or something to confirm it's me? Will the amount of allowed attempts before everything is deleted dismiss and go away by tomorrow? I'm kinda stuck on what to do now.
