Kinda weird question

Okay so a long time ago around the time when android revoked access to the android/data folders (android 13 or 14) i saw video that used a file manger to kinda reset the "files" app (file picker app) by deleting two files and it got me back access to the android/data folders on all my other file meneger apps

Yes i know we have muliple options to access those files now but im curious about this cause its been bothering me so much
