What's the reason for your islands name?

I've been curious about what the reason for the odd or cute names are. Please share! I'm very wonder some and want to hear your stories!

My islands name is BlueSpring because I've noticed the where I live people hate spring because it's "blue" and I wanted to show that just because it's blue in the spring doesn't mean it's not beautiful.💕
