Don't sleep on Honey Gouramis like I did!
I have a single species tank of some nicely schooling x-ray tetras. I got bored of it, completely rescaped it, and wanted something different with my tetras. Somehow, by magic, ended up at my LFS.
Stunning bright orange honey gouramis, a male and a female, last ones. I had to get them.
My goodness, they've coloured up so wonderfully, they are confident, interactive, and such a nice pop of colour in the tank.
Beautiful centerpiece fish, with names, and absolutely wonderful. Can't believe I've never owned them before!!!
Not a bit of aggression or competition with the tetras or eachother, they leave the mystery snails alone entirely, and occupy the whole water column. They've even been nibbling on my duckweed/aquarium herpes and algae on the driftwood. The female is developing a striking black line through her body. I'm just so happy with them, I had to share.
(Whiskey and Brandy are their names lol)
