I hate people like this
I absolutely hate people that keep fish and their fish keep dying but they do not do anything to fix the source of death instead they buy more fish. I have a friend that has a 29 gallon fish tank with neon green gravel a filter with no sponge in it and a ancient heater that shocks his fish. I have tried to help him fix his tanks so many times. One day I went to his house to test his water and do a water change. Turns out he has not changed his water in 2 years because his parents say that they dont want to waste water. WHY THE FCK ARE YOU KEEPING FISH IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE WATER. I tested his water and ammonia levels were off the charts. At this point in time all of his fish had died and it was a empty tank. So I started to move around the decoration then I saw something fall out of the artifical castle that was in the tank. Guess what it was A DISINTEGRATED PLECO. First of all how do you even kill a pleco those things live in shit water. Then I removed the gravel and added natural looking gravel. We refilled the water then I left. I showed him some places where he can buy plants, a heater and filter media. After that he buys more fish (platys) and they die in less then 4 days. I tell him to buy the stuff or just don't keep fish if you are unable to. This offended him quite alot then he blamed it on the tank and said it was toxic. He bought another 29 gallon after selling the previous one and used the same filter, heater. After that his friends that were moving left there goldfish with him to take care of until they get their new house situated. He calls me over saying whats wrong with the gold fish I see that one of them is on its side and the other is shaking. I put my hand in the tank and hold the fish then I feel small shocks on my hand. I new what had happened the heater was cracked. I told him to remove the heater because goldfish are cold water fish + the heater was killing them. He refused to remove the heater. He was also feeding his fish the same food for 4 years. The food was spoiled. He calls me again when the fish have died. The first. thing I noticed is that the neon green gravel is back. I honestly got pretty fing mad after I saw that. I told him to throw away the fish and to leave fish keeping. Guess what he buys a oscar a week later. The oscar then dies of the same cause as all the other fish. Shitty water quality and getting electrocuted. I do not under stand how people like this don't learn. How fcking dumb do you have to be to do the same thing over and over again and not realize you are making a mistake. He still has his tank and is still buying fish for it just to see them die.
