Outside of the economy and financial hardship, why did democrats lose so badly?

I always had a feeling trump would win, in the final days i thought she’d eek it out, but it was a resounding loss.

I can’t speak for everyone but i can for my self . I’m 46 and have always voted democrat and considered myself a never republican until this election. The constant fear mongering from harris and other liberals, posing trump as a threat. always trump bad trump is bad day in day out became annoying.

The points about uneducated voters, racist voters being for trump. the talk about misogyny constantly became annoying. I’ve tried telling people over and over you don’t need school to be successful, but repeatley uneducated voters bared the brunt throughout the campaign.

People don’t like being labeled uneducated, racist, misogynistic, like Sunny Hostin did Wednesday after the election blaming racism for the loss.

Democrats forgot how to talk to the people, trump (while by no means any better), got to the people in his own way, even though it may not have been the nicest way.

Voters felt alienated, fatigued by the repetitive messaging, disconnected

For me personally, the democratic party is shifting too far left for my liking, in 2028 i’m hoping they put up someone more center or even similar to what biden has been.

This is a basic opinion from me, why did democrats lose so badly besides the economy part?

ETA: i forgot to also include the felony part. While yes its serious i agree. the constant felon label towards trump was heard everyday throughout the campaign, supporters of harris and anyone affiliated with the harris/walz campaign. the constant message that was perceived that felons are bad is misleading. not all felons are bad, many people unfortunately have family who are felons and who have tried to better them selves. labeling all felons as bad like harris consistently tried to imply was wrong and obnoxious to the felons who have tried bettering them selves for there families.
