Anybody here know about Alexander Menshikov?

I've read a few books on Peter the Great and not only am I fascinated with Peter but also his friend Menshikov. Is his palace still up? Anybody celebrate him in Russia still? Seems like the quintessential Russian to me...but what do I know.
