Why isn’t there any considerable pushback on Trump saying he’ll annex Canada?

I’m at a loss and really need someone to explain it to me.

Whenever a world leader threatens a neighboring country with annexation there’s always a response. Trump has now used the words “state” & “governor” while referring to Canada on at least three occasions. Not to mention openly talking about annexing the whole country. Why isn’t there any significant response from any party leaders?
