How can Trump or anyone in the upcoming administration convince companies to "hire American" or to move their production back in the US?
From what I know in my basic ideas of economics or business, the only way that they can convince these companies is via tax brakes. I am not sure if that is enough since these companies will most likely lose on other ends, like having to hire American workers on higer wages and cover their insurance and PTO where applied, and that seems to be more costly than some tariffs or higher taxes.
So, is there any other way or am I seeing this from a perspective that is not true?
