Right Jaw/Ear Problem

M28, 5’8, 255lbs, no current medications, healthy,

Hello,

Last week, I ate a sandwich with bread that was more on the hard side. The next thing I know, I took a bite which really hurt my jaw. It felt like a Charlie horse cramp in my right side jaw where the joint is at next to my right ear. My jaw was locked open on my right side for a minute or two.

Now, a few days later, my right ear is incredibly sore/inflamed, and is backed up as if there is water in it that just won’t come out. I can’t hear as well out of my right ear now. I’m really worried I did some damage to it.

Went to an urgent care, and was told I have an ear infection and given ear drops. It just doesn’t seem like an infection since all this started with me hurting my jaw. Any insight into what this could be? Any treatment/medications to take?
