[CA] Revoked Job Offer & Then Ghosted, Why?

So I was offered a job, great! We discuss details for maybe 2 weeks as the HR rep didn't have all the details of the offer yet. Finally once all the details are in I say yes. A few days later I get an email simply stating they are revoking the job offer but thanks for considering working with them and best of luck.

I sent an email back expressing confusion and asked if there was anything that went wrong on my end to prompt this sudden change.

I went through 6 interviews, they called every single job I've ever worked for and all my references prior to giving the offer. And then weeks after the offer they simply send a 2 sentence email saying nevermind?

I know it's business. But it hurts. And it feels worse that then they just ghost me. I would at least expect a "we're not at liberty to discuss" or "we don't have further feedback at this time". Something saying like 'hey we get the confusion but there's nothing else to say'. I can't understand the lack of empathy that goes into just seeing my email and never acknowledging it.

I've certainly been rejected after an interview and then not received a response when asked for feedback. But to go all the way through accepting an offer and discussing the contract details to then get no feedback? Is this normal? Am I just too sensitive?
