Car has a knocking sound, suspected rod knock by mechanic, paid him $80 to listen to it, got it towed home and he told me to dump the oil and check the filter for metal flakes, found none, he told me I need to cut the filter open. Am I crazy to think its very unlikely it's a rod atp
