How would you feel if your girlfriend bought you clothes for your birthday?

Would you like it if your girlfriend bought you clothes for your birthday?

Idk if I’m over thinking this or not but I wanted some opinions. My boyfriend’s birthdays coming up and I bought him a couple T-shirts to go along with his presents, as I’ve just gotten him a couple smaller things he’ll like (moneys tight) for example, I got him a CD he’s really been wanting.

I got him a couple band shirts, There a similar style to what he usually wears just bands he doesn’t have yet, but loves. I know clothes are a really personal thing so idk if he’ll just say he likes them cause I bought them or be disappointed with them cause this is the first birthday we’ve spent together and he’s expecting something else.
