wheeze post asthma attack

What can be going on ? it’s like this rumbling wheeze and I feel I have mucas I cannot get out . my breathing has finally calmed down after 2 hospital trips of intense treatments I just feel I have this wheeze that won’t go away and it feels my lungs are extra vulnerable. I’m on a steroid taper , my GP even prescribed extra pred in case I need it again after ! I feel something more can be going on , my chest X-ray at the hospital came out normal , I know it’s a respiratory virus but can it cause complications or anything ? it’s not pneumonia or else I’d be admitted for days at this point . I’m thinking bronchitis? but at the end tail of it . Not sure what’s going on but I really want to go back to normal soon . As of now everything on my life is being put on hold cause my lungs
