Bidet spray

Hi, I bought a bidet spray tap. It came with t valve which says it must be turned off between uses. This is hard as I have to install it in a way that marks it difficult to do. Any suggestions?

Does it need to be turned off? Any suggestions on products to solve the dilemma?
