Battlemaster/ranger Lae'zel viable?
New player here, learning mechanics, still on Act 1 (no spoilers please). Current party (level 5): Sorcerer Tav, Wizard Gale, War Shadowheart, Battlemaster Lae'zel. All level 5.
I've kept Gale for reasons, but it's redundant with my Sorcerer, so I might kick him. However I will very much miss Longstrider, Enhanced Leap and Fly, so I'm looking at workarounds to keep having these spells with Gale gone.
Druid and Ranger both seem to get Longstrider and Enhanced Leap at level 2. Fly is a different story, but I can probably circumvent it with a good jump and/or Misty Step.
The obvious choice would be Halsin, but I don't know if having a permanent "extra" character is a good idea, RP wise, dialogues, etc.
So I'm thinking Ranger Lae'zel suits her, but as a pure damage dealer, no healing, no special spells, no beasts, little stealth.
I could only sink in 2 levels in Ranger at levels 6 and 7 to get the spells I'm after, but having her as a hybrid Ranger/Battlemaster sounds more fun. I'd love to explore Ranger attacks, but also keep her a (less) tanky melee smasher.
Considering everything, proficiencies, saving throws (I'm still getting the grasp of how all this works), is this a viable option? I guess points would go to STR, DEX and CON, but maybe I actually need WIS for spells (or event INT? I'm not sure how the class order words), making this less viable :/
Any insight? Recommendations?
