Is BMWiX right for me?

Considering purchasing the iX50. My commute to work one way is 60km and I have to be in the office 2-3 times per week. My husband has a gas SUV (through his work) so the iX50 will be our one and only family car as well.

Having an electric car will give me access to the HOV lanes where I live, which is a huge plus during my commute.

How reliable are is the iX? I live in Canada so lots of snow and can get VERY cold in the winter months.
