Pregnant at almost 36
I’m 35, turning 36 February 2025 Had been taking contraceptive pills for 15 years. I have PCOS and had been told if I ever wanted to get pregnant it would take years and potentially treatment. I had been taking inositol and saxenda for a year now to control PCOS & insuline resistance symptoms, lost 35 pounds. My husband also had infertility issues in the past, when he tried to have his first daughter. Took him more than 6 months plus treatment back then. Stoped contraceptives on August. My idea was to “clean myself” for a year and then formally start trying. I somehow got pregnant in October and just found out I’m 8 weeks pregnant. (Thought period was delayed because my body was still adjusting) I’m extremely shocked. But also happy and grateful. Everything seems to be going well and I’m hoping I Can reach 12 weeks with no issues. A bit anxious with all I had heard in the past about pregnancies after 35. I wake up every single day wondering if he/she is still alive and ok. So, hoping I Can reach 12 so that I can stop worrying this much. Would love to read stories about people with similar experiences.
