Can LMRA Help If My Employer Ignores My Resignation? (Bahrain)
I submitted my resignation via email with a "1-month notice", making my last working day "February 19, 2025". However, my employer is ignoring my resignation and scheduling me until the end of February.
They only contact me through the company's mobile and haven’t given me any written confirmation. I also know they already have issues with LMRA for unrelated reasons.
My questions are:
1. Is my resignation via email valid under Bahrain labor law?
2. Can my employer legally force me to stay beyond my notice period?
3. If they refuse to release me, can LMRA help, even if my boss never confirmed my resignation in writing?
I’d appreciate any advice from those familiar with labor laws in Bahrain. Thanks!
