Controlling direction of wall?

Is there a way to control or adjust the direction that a wall gets printed?

I’d like to print a whole chess set using a tri-color filament, but it is sensitive to the print direction. As you can see, most layers print in one direction, but the layers which have both gold and the tri-color print the other direction, creating a harsh color contrast.
