Is there a good reason Beastie Boys never released an official live album, or why they still haven't?

I know it's been reported that Adam left some pretty extensive and strict stipulations in his will, but I will admit I honestly expected a lot more releases from the vault after his death than what we've gotten. Surely the band have countless board tapes and high quality live recordings from all eras. Have they ever stated anywhere their reluctance to release a live album? I always thought it would be cool if they would put up their live archives the way Fugazi did, with just releasing every live tape they had that was worth releasing.
