Most important piece of equipment to upgrade for beginner at home dj setup?

What is the most important piece of equipment to upgrade for beginner at home dj setup? Right now i literally just plop my ddj flx4 on the dining room table and plug in my laptop and thats it. I borrow my girlfriend’s beats headphones if i need them. I want to upgrade my controller to maybe a grv6 but was wondering if getting some good quality speakers to really hear the music better would be more helpful? Heard good things about the krk rokit, but also that they arent great for parties and are more for close range listening and producing. Are there any speakers in the $200-$300 range youd recommend?
