While we’re on the subject of cholesterol, help me understand my Function Health lipid panel!
I am out of my depth here and don’t know if I need to see a cardiologist about this. Hoping the friendly neighborhood bio hackers can help!
I’m not sure I understand if there’s a real problem here! Seems like the particles are all way out of range but the other markers look great. I’m 32F, currently breastfeeding. Very active but carrying around a few extra baby pounds I’m working on dropping (5’8”, 157lbs).
Not sure if this context is relevant- My a1c is 5.2 but I had high fasted glucose at 103. My dad has genetic high cholesterol and has been on statins since he was 30. He also has naturally high glucose but no pre-diabetes or anything, always a healthy a1c.
Also of note- I’ve seen other redditors complain that Quest Diagnostics lipid fractionation returned outlandishly high numbers for them, but other lab providers had very different results. So I’m curious about that’s at play here at all.
