How do grimores for immigrants work?

So I just reread black clover and I am very confused. If yuno didn’t have lichts son’s soul inside of him would he just not get a grimore? Or would he get a clover grimore with star magic? And how did yami get a clover grimore when he’s from that other place.. Like if a person with 2 parents from diamond and was born there goes to clover for the grimore ceremony would he get one? Idk just food for thought
