Is this blepharitis?

Hello, I’d like to hear your opinion.
Is this blepharitis?

At the end of September, I had surgery for a chalazion, and it was a terrible experience—lots of ointments, including antibiotic ones. Since then, no one has been able to help me. I’ve had more antibiotics, even oral ones, but only for a maximum of one week. Eventually, I was told to find a good surgeon because the chalazion was apparently removed incorrectly. At the clinic, the doctor just looked at me and diagnosed blepharitis.

The problem is that it’s been untreated for two months. I haven’t neglected eyelid hygiene, but I haven’t done much extra, either. I wore makeup only around my eyes and stopped using contact lenses entirely. Unfortunately, when I try to clean my lashes, they fall out, so I have to be very gentle.

The surgeon forbade warm compresses and ointments, saying they worsen or exacerbate inflammation of the meibomian glands. Another issue is that I have seborrhea. I have patches in my scalp, but it’s well-controlled and flares up only every three months or so.

I’m supposed to have a follow-up in a month, and honestly, I’d prefer to use corticosteroids or maybe even long-term antibiotics—I’ve read that these are sometimes prescribed for a month.

Does anyone have experience with this? What are your routines, and what has helped you?

Thank you so much for any idea!
