Any ideas on how to get wifi into my room?

i live in a pretty big house and we do have a router but my room is so far from it that the internet i get on my pc is super slow and always has problems that my siblings whose rooms are closer to the router never have, any tips on how i could get fast wifi in my room? i was thinking of buying another router and js putting it in my room and paying for a monthly plan but that seems a little overkill
