Unpopular / Controversial Opinion, you're probably gonna love / hate this idea.

Opinion: Motorcyclist travelling on roads meant for cars on highways with dedicated motorcycle lanes during peak hour traffic will not get to claim from insurance if involved in accident, regardless of whose fault it is.

I can understand not wanting to use the bike lane during late nights due to unsafe conditions but I don't see any excuse for motorcyclists to use the main road during rush hour traffic. Unless you tell me those guys I see using those lanes in the morning & evening on Federal Highway all rode to their deaths.

It's already a difficult task to try to switch lanes with back-to-back traffic, let alone having to perfectly time your move to switch lanes with the right gap AND having to mind suicidal motorcyclists travelling at 60-80km/h when cars are either stationary or travelling at 20km/h.

An even more suicidal group would be those who cut in front of cars leaving 2m of gap and expect you to brake for them.
