Anyone's boomer parents can't take no and get mad when you say no?
My boomer parents are emotionally stunted, immature teenagers that shouldn't have children. Growing up, my dad specifically would blow up like a kid whenever I said no, and even as an adult, before I went no contact with them a year ago, children are meant to be seen, not heard, and respect your elders is one of my parents favourite quotes growing up. Because of this, as an adult, I became a people pleaser and have difficulty saying no, and it is still an ongoing process on getting better on how to say no, and I don't owe anybody anything. Does anyone also have parents who get mad the moment you say no, be it in small or big matters?
