Nice Restaurant to "Gift" a dinner to my son and his girlfriend?

I'd appreciate recommendations on a nice, maybe romantic restaurant to send my son & his girlfriend to for a nice Holiday date. I'm googling restaurants, but flying blind as I live on the East Coast.
