Cabaret 2024 ending?

POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!

so tonight i watched the 2024 broadway production of cabaret with Eddie Redmayne- so fantastic by the way. I’m not super familiar with the show but one thing I do know is that the ending is supposed to end with I believe the Emcee in a concentration camp? Or something like that? instead it ended tonight with the company onstage all wearing suits.

I could be wrong i’ve only seen clips of the ending on youtube but I didn’t understand the ending tonight- if anyone else has a better explanation i’d love to hear it
