Buldak review tier list
I felt like making my own Buldak tier list. For starters even though some are low on the list, I have liked every flavour of Buldak noodles that I’ve tried. Also I’d love if people shared their favourites and ratings!
Yakisoba is definitely my favourite. I find it nicely sweet and savoury with thinner noodles than the other kinds. Great with cheesy corn and kewpie mayo. Not too spicy for me.
Jjajang (now discontinued) was another favourite of mine. I found it similar to yakisoba. It was more rich with thicker noodles. If you’re looking for a replacement Paldo Jjajangmen Chajang Noodle with Buldak sauce is pretty close.
Cream carbonara is nice and creamy, I find it even better when made soupy. I usually add 1/3 cup of the boiling water, an egg yolk, some kewpie mayo, and cream. If you can’t handle spice I recommend trying this one.
Quattro cheese is another one I really like. Of course it’s very strong and cheesy so if you’re a cheese lover I recommend it but it does have an artificial cheese taste. Less spicy than original cheese.
Carbonara, I don’t have much to say about it. Honestly to me carbonara and cream carbonara taste the same, this one is more and less creamy.
Habanero lime, I tried this one recently and was very surprised. I was expecting to not like it but I really enjoyed it and would definitely buy a pack. I didn’t find it tasted much like lime but the flavour was still good. If you like flaming hot foods/snacks I think you’d like this one.
Tom Yum was a very yummy sweet and sour soup. It had a decent flavouring but I would have liked it more citrusy. This one was very spicy which made it hard to finish the broth. I like mama tom yum more.
Stew type is a nice change from the dry noodles. I was expecting it to be very spicy according to spice level list but I didn’t find it that spicy. I just like the other different flavours more but lots of people love this one.
Curry, had nice flavour. Different spices than I’m used to because I’ve never had curry before. The spice almost took me out though.
Origin is good just basic. There’s so many other flavours so original doesn’t stand out. I didn’t like the flakes that came with it, got a mouthful of seaweed.
Cheese, I’d probably never buy a pack of this. It’s not bad but I prefer the quattro cheese over it because it’s less cheesy. This one is more spicy
Kimchi was okay, I thought it had an interesting flavour and was pretty spicy. It didn’t taste like kimchi to me but I’m no expert.
Corn, the smell was very off putting. I thought the flavour was strange and like sweet crushed up stale corn chips. Kinda got worse as I was eating it. I did add some cheesy corn and kewpie. Probably would have been better if it was creamier.
Of course these are just my options. I’m sure many would rate differently haha.
There’s more flavours out there, I just can’t find them for now but I’d love to try them all.
